About
Dermal fillers are an excellent way to create or replenish lost volume. These hyaluronic acid-based compounds are found in different densities, which are used to replicate different tissue types e.g. thick filler to replicate bony areas and medium filler to plump the lips. See below to find out more about our different dermal filler treatments.

Dermal filler treatments
Lip filler
Lip filler can be used to either replenish volume lost with age or to create volume in the lips. Medium density hyaluronic-acid based filler is used. The dermal filler contains local anaesthetic. This, along with pre-treatment of the lips with local anaesthetic cream, minimises the pain during the procedure.
A variety of techniques are available to achieve your chosen goal, whether it be a subtle enhancement or a more dramatic transformation. Up to 1ml dermal filler is injected, depending on your goal and the size of your lips. Expect to see the end result at 2-3 weeks. No top-up is required.
Tear tough filler
Tear troughs are hollow regions under the eyes, that create a hollow, tired appearance. Tear trough filler is used to fill in the hollow region, creating a fresh, rejuvenated appearance. In some patients, the tired appearance is created by hyperpigmentation of the skin. Tear trough filler is not appropriate for these patients.

During the procedure, a cannula (hollow tube) is used to inject the product. The cannula reduces the risk of bruising or vascular occlusion by pushing blood vessels out of the way, rather than shearing or entering them as a needle would. You will have either 1 of 2 injection points per side, depending on your individual needs.

An 80% improvement is aimed for at the initial appointment, as the filler attracts water and continues to plump for 2 weeks. Patients may therefore require a top-up.
Cheek filler
Cheek filler is used to either restore volume or create volume in the cheeks. The filler can be injected in the inner or outer edge of the cheekbone, depending on the area of volume loss and desired effect. A thick filler is used to replicate bone. Often used to complement tear trough filler.
Nose filler (liquid rhinoplasty)
Dermal filler can be used to straighten the bride of the nose and lift the tip. Use of filler in this way is called a liquid rhinoplasty. This is a good option for those who want to avoid invasive surgery. A thick hyaluronic acid-based filler is used to replicate the bone and cartilage of the nose.

Jawline filler
Filler can be injected into the jawline to create a more crisp, defined appearance, or to smooth out any irregularities. A thick dermal filler is used to replicate the bone of the jaw and a cannula (hollow tube) is used to distribute the product. Jawline filler is often used in combination with chin filler to create a defined and balanced facial structure.
Chin filler
Chin filler can be used to create projection and balance the profile, to elongate the face or to feminise/masculinise the face. It is often used in combination with jawline filler. The ideal female chin is more pointed whereas the ideal male chin is more square shaped. Each patients' face will be assessed and an individualised treatment plan created depending on their individual needs. A thick dermal filler is used to replicate the bone of the chin.
Nasolabial filler

Nasolabial lines are the lines that extend from the corners of the nose to the corners of the mouth. These are sometimes called the smile lines. A medium density filler is injected, with either needle, cannula or a combination of the two, to replace lost volume to reduce the appearance of the lines.
Marionette line filler
The Marionette lines extend from the corners of the mouth down to towards the chin. They develop with age. They can be treated with medium-density filler.
